OH, ON THE CD IT SAYS, FOR WINDOWS 3.1 & WINDOWS '95. *original title - WANT TO ADD MY OLD PEACHTREE ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE 3.5 TO A NEW TOUCHSMART IQ 500 SERIES PC FROM A COMPUTER THAT HAD XP. I HAVE THE CD AND PASS WORD FOR THE PEACHTREE CD*. Click Start (the Orb), right click on 'Computer' and then select 'Properties', this will show you what operation system (Vista / Windows 7) and what version. The software is too old to run directly on Vista or Windows 7. Windows 7 (Professional or Ultimate) does support XP mode but no garantee your software will work.
Sage 50 Peachtree System Requirement. Multisim Free Trial For Mac. Windows 7, Windows 8,. At least 1 GB of disk space for installation; Internet Explorer 9.0.
This means upgrading from Vista (if Vista is what you are using) to Windows 7 and installing the XP mode software and there is not 100% garantee that it will run in XP mode. I would suggest you at least call PeachTree's support and find out if your old PeachTree data file can be migrated to a newer version. This may be your least expensive path. If its designed for Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, its likely a 16 bit application or a 32 bit app using a 16 bit installer, so it might not work, especially if its Windows Vista or Windows 7 64 bit. To find out the Operating System type you have installed, click Start, right click Computer, click Properties Under System >System Type: Look if it says 64 OR 32 Bit Operating System If its 64 bit, don't bother, instead, upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit and download the free Windows XP Mode and install it through it.

Bgrayesq@yahoo.com win xp huge empty hard drive 1.5 mb ram 3 ghz hp pavilion I was using Act!/Peachtree/timeslips together. Didn't like the programs or Sage, so I uninstalled all and got a program that integrates time billling, accounting, calendar etc.
Every time I open the accounting module, I get 6 consecutive messages that my computer is trying to install Peachtree Accounting 2006. I've tried add/remove programs.I end up getting 'Error 1316 - network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C: WINDOWS Installer Peachtree Accounting.msi' and error 1603fatal error during installation.' I tried fixes at msn support.
I bought RegCure and downloaded Clean my Registry. Support at regcure tried to help. I ran something like XP_hotfix_backup (not the exact name) because it said it would remove unwanted uninstaller files, but it is not for my problem. Problem: I may need disk to accomplish the uninstall, but I've lost it. Sage support will help me if I pay them a ridiculous amount of money. I can buy the program for less, and try running uninstall with the disk in the drive. Can this work?
Is there anything I have to do if I buy the software? Hate to buy the software if it can't work. Go here and download Microsoft?s uninstaller and see if it is on the list and if it is click on remove it. Click on start, click on run, type regedit in the box and open the registry. Click on HKEY Local Machine and click on software, Microsoft, windows, current version, scroll all the way down to?uninstall? And use the up and down arrows to find the program in the registry and right click and delete all that you find. Reboot and Click on My Computer and click on Drive C and open program files and common files folders and if your program is listed delete them.
If they will not delete go inside the folder and try to delete individual items? DELETE all you can and those you can?t will be left. 4.Reboot and click on start and run and type msconfig and open it and click on boot ini and check the box for?safe mode? 5.Now repeat step 3. Those that would not delete the first time will now be deleted. 6.Now repeat step 4 and uncheck the box for?safe mode?
